Friday, March 8, 2024 Saturday, March 9, 2024 Maha Shivaratri – the greatest Shiva night is celebrated every year on Chaturdashi Thithi during Krisna Paksha (period of waning moon) in the month of Magha, the 11th month of the Lunar calendar. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Mahadev got married to Aadi Sakthi, in the form of Devi Sati, who was one of the daughters of Prajapathi Daksha, himself the son of Lord Brahma. The highlight of the Shiva-Sakthi wedding is His performance of the divine dance Tandavam. Grand (2-Day Event) Sponsorship |

BRAHMA SUKTAM Saturday, March 23, 2024 Temples for the Creator of the Universe, Lord Brahma, are few and far between! While Lord Shiva’s curse that “Brahma shall not be worshipped on earth” may have restricted the number of temples, several beautiful shrines for the Creator do exist in Southeast Asia, including northern parts of India. Trimurti Temple of Charlotte, NC probably earns a unique distinction of housing the first, and possibly the only, shrine for Brahma in the United States! Vedic scriptures credit Brahma for the four Vedas, each represented by one of His four heads. As the Creator, He is the God of life and has not only given life to our bodies but also predetermined that life’s destiny. Prayers to Brahma are offered via Brahma Suktam. By chanting or listening to these mantras, one gains knowledge from Brahma that helps cleanse their minds and clear their sins. Trimurti Temple humbly celebrates the Creator by performing Brahma Suktam. Please join us with family and friends. |
